Vehicle Damages School Property

November 20, 2019

On the evening of Friday, November 15 between 11 pm and midnight, a small silver crossover SUV drove south down Main Street and straight through the elementary school fence. The chain-link fence is certain to have caused noticeable damage and scratching to the vehicle's paint. In addition, the vehicle's small rear antenna was broken off and left at the scene. The vehicle drove across the school playground and exited through a small gap on the fence by the high school parking lot. The incident was recorded by surveillance cameras. Anyone who can identify a vehicle matching this description with this sort of damage or with information about who is responsible for this event is encouraged to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department at 287-3222.
