3 Trojans receive honors

The Whitehall/Harrison High School football team had three players recognized on the 2019 5B District All-Conference Team.

Junior Dylan Smith was named second-team at both offensive and defensive lines. Head Coach Dan Lacey said Smith was one of the most consistent players up front all year.

"He had to play multiple positions for us on both sides of the and played at a high level for us at all positions. That shows his versatility and how team-oriented he is. He does a great job of leading by example and we are excited to see what he brings next year in his senior season," Lacey said.

Junior Tegan Robbins was named to the second team as a wide receiver, linebacker, and returner. Lacey said Robbins also worked hard in the summer and the effort paid off.

"Tegan is as versatile as it comes on offense. He led our team in both rushing and receiving. He was also the team leader on defense in tackles. I was extremely proud of his effort all season and his dedication to the program. I'm looking forward to watching him grow as a player and person the next year," Lacey said.

Sophomore Brendan Wagner was named second-team at defensive back. Lacey said Wagner had a great season on defense and his ball skills and understanding of his technique on defense made him one of the best defensive backs in the conference this season.

"Each week he would have to guard the opposing teams best receiver and week in and week out he took on the challenge and performed at a high level. I'm excited to watch him grow and look for him to contribute even more next year for our team," Lacey said.
