Esther Mabel Bieber

Esther Mabel Bieber, age 81, of Whitehall passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 28th.

Esther was born January 7, 1938 in Elgin, North Dakota to Chris and Ida Stugelmayer. She was raised and attended school in Mott, ND where she met the love of her life, Fred Bieber. They were married on June 2, 1957. They moved many times over the years and finally settled down in Regent, ND where they owned and operated their own bar.

Esther was a loving and devoted wife who followed her husband to Whitehall, MT in 1964. She was a stay at home mother to her five kids and was a doting grandmother who loved to look after her grandchildren. After losing her husband in 1999, Esther found her passion for traveling. She would often be gone for weeks traveling out-of-state to visit with her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed attending many music concerts with her brother Raymond and sister-in-law Arlene.

Esther was a member at the Zion Lutheran Church where she faithfully attended services until her health began to decline. She was a member of the Whitehall Senior Center where she enjoyed visiting with friends, playing bingo, and passing time solving puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband Fred; brothers, Rueben and Victor; sister, Shirley; grandchildren, Stacy Kay and Anton.

She is survived by her brother, Raymond Stugelmayer; sons and daughters: Bruce (Terry) Bieber of Great Falls, Bernice Nicholson of Whitehall, Jo Anne (Al) Hightower of Showlow, AZ, David (Peggy) Bieber of Breckenridge, MN, Jean (Shawn) McClure of Whitehall; Grandchildren, James Nicholson, Amber (Lee Turner) Nicholson, Cody Bieber, Kelsie and Kaitlin Villeburn and her great grand Daughter Brynlee Turner.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Esther's name to the Zion Lutheran Church or Whitehall Senior Center.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 11th at 11am at Whitehall Assembly of God with Pastor James Mavis officiating. Interment will follow at the Whitehall Cemetery. A pot luck celebration of life at the Whitehall Assembly of God will follow the interment. The family will be receiving friends and Family at the K&L Mortuary Chapel January 10th from 5-7pm.
