Theater hosting auditions

The Missoula Children's Theater is heading to Whitehall.

An audition for the production of "Johnny Appleseed" is scheduled for Tuesday, February, 18 from 3:40 to 5:40 p.m.

Those Whitehall K-8 students auditioning should arrive right after school and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are Johnny Appleseed; Granpa's Kiddos, the Pioneers; Sir Peter Prescott and his sidekick Rupert; the Fife & Drum Soldiers; Lewis & Clark; A group of Western Animals; and the Apple Seeds.

No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:40 to 8:00 each day.

Johnny Appleseed will be presented on Saturday the 22nd of February at the Tia Kober gym. The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in Whitehall is brought to you by Whitehall PTSA with support from the Washington Foundation, Gina Ossello, Golden Sunlight Mine, The Corner Store, Split Diamond Ranch and Rocky Mountain Bank.
