Department responds to Wednesday fire

The cause of a fire early Wednesday morning in Whitehall is currently under investigation.

According to Assistant Chief Colton Howser, the Whitehall Volunteer Fire Department was called out to a fire shortly after 3 a.m. at 4 W. Olive St. Howser said by the time they arrived the fire was fully engulfed, and he called out Butte Boulevard and Terra Verde, and the Twin Bridges Fire Department.

Howser reported they were on scene until 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

He added the fire is currently being investigated by the State Fire Marshall.
