Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Lady Trojans learn from Jefferson game, face Manhattan Thursday

While they were unable to walk away with a victory, Whitehall High School volleyball Head Coach Kyla Simon was proud of the effort from her team in last week's 25-23, 25-7, 25-20 loss to high-powered Jefferson High School.

"The one thing I love about our team is that I never have to ask them to work hard. They always work hard without question and effort is never the issue. I am thankful for that. We had a lot of really long rallies with Jefferson which is great, most of them didn't end in our favor, however. Playing a good team is always good practice," she said.

Pleased with effort, Simon did admit the Lady Trojans made too many unforced errors which she said is something you can't do against a team like the Panthers.

"We are going to continue to focus on improving out of serve receive and make some adjustments defensively. We are also going to work on being more aggressive with our serve," she said.

Whitehall will next be in action on October 8 when they travel for a matchup against Manhattan.

"We are still improving every week and we are going to continue to trust the process and work to be playing our best volleyball when it really counts," Simon said.
