Trojans improve times in Townsend

It was another solid week for the Whitehall High School and Middle School cross country teams.

Head Coach Kerry Sacry said everyone improved their times significantly at last week's Rusty Raisland Invitational in Townsend, and it was also nice to be able to have a fun boys squad and be able to get a team score.

Wes Biggers led the boys team with a time of 19:08.

Others competing for the Trojans were Dawson Powers (19:53), Tommy Emerson (21:42), Adreas Heimberg (21:42), Hunter Coyle (23:34), and Connor Graham (28:07).

Macee Patritti led the Lady Trojans with a time of 24:39, Jada Clarkson finished the race at an even 25 minutes and MaKenzy best ended the race at the 26:14 mark.

In the junior high division, Lexi Stratton finished the 1.5-mile race in eighth place for the Lady Trojans with a time of 10:57.

In the boys race, Tucker Huckaba finished in ninth at 9:21, Sam Valov had a time of 11:50, and K.T. Schuller finished the race at 12:28.

Sacry added the younger kids are getting a real feel for how they need to run in a race and now they need to get ready for state, which is scheduled for Friday, October 23 in Kalispell.
