If any member of the public has a difficult time navigating the website or does not have access to the technology required to obtain and print a permit, the Dillon, Butte, and Madison District office Front-liners of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest are available to help. The public can call any of these District offices, regardless of where they live in order to have the permit mailed, emailed, or schedule a time to pick it up at the front entrance. The permit does need to be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle when out in the forest harvesting a tree and although BDNF personnel are following COVID protocols and procedures, they want to emphasize that they are always here to serve their public and their forest.

For further information and questions, please contact the Dillon Ranger District at (406) 683-3900.
