Chamber hosting variety of 2020 holiday promotions

While organizers were unable to move forward with the traditional Christmas Stroll scheduled for Saturday, December 12, the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce is still putting together a family-friendly holiday celebration for local residents.

An Elf Scavenger Hunt will start December 11 and run until December 21. Elves will be placed in windows throughout Whitehall. Those who join the hunt are asked to take a selfie with all of the elves and send the pictures to the chamber via email or text at 406-287-2260. The individual must be in the picture with the elf. The number of elves will be announced on the morning of December 11. The two winners will receive $50 in Chamber Bucks. The clues will be released on the Chamber Christmas Pop-Up Market Facebook page.

A tree lighting near the Rotary Fishpond on Legion Avenue is scheduled for December 11 at 5 p.m. This will also be the start of the Chamber Business Stroll Blackout Bingo promotion. Cards can be picked up at Tona's Treasures, Settings by All Things Montana, Cottage Floral, Ace Hardware, Ridgeline Sports, Whitehall Drug, or the Chamber office. The winner will receive $50 in Chamber Bucks. A Kids Elfie Selfie is also part of the bingo promotion and kids are asked to take pictures with the elf in the store and post it on the Chamber Facebook along with a description of their favorite item in the store. Two winners will receive $25 in Chamber Bucks.

Residents are also encouraged on Friday to vote for their favorite in the Christmas Lights Contest. Ballots are available at the chamber office and library, and voters are eligible for the drawing for a Subway gift card.

Saturday is also the last day of voting for the Christmas Lights Contest.

The Christmas Pop-Up Market is also underway and will take place until December 23. The hours for the vendor market are at the Chamber Office Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
