Liberty Place Art Displayed at Borden Building

Just as March brought in sunnier and warmer days, Liberty Place brought color and culture to the Borden’s Historic Building in Whitehall. The art display features sixteen photos and twenty six paintings, as well as two collaborative paintings, all created by Liberty Place residents.

David Parker, Liberty Place’s music therapist and program director, secured a grant via the Montana Arts Council, bringing a professional artist and a photographer to the two Liberty Place centers, helping residents create a “Small Town” documentary art display.

Available during the month of March, the display may be viewed through the Borden’s building windows and also by traversing the hallways behind the Peppertree Deli, also within the Borden’s building. The artists have rendered everything from flowers and trees to the well-known Town Pump sign on 16x20 canvases. Photographers captured still landscapes, action portraits and more.
