Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Hervey H. Perez, 78

Hervey H. Perez passed away on June 24, 2021. The youngest child of Bernardo and Luz (Hernandez) Perez. He was Born in Melvin, McCulloch County, TX on 1943.

"Hey, there's something on your shirt."

It took working for the Post Office to find out that his name was spelled Hervey not Harvey. It's only the difference of a letter, right? Harvey could not pass up a corny joke. A stranger was not a stranger for long. No matter where he went or what name he went by, people never forgot him.

"Pull my finger."

His legacy goes far beyond the jokes. His love and dedication to his family never wavered. Brother Harvey, Uncle Harvey, or Cousin Harvey was always there to help with advice, moral support, and a helping hand. Being from such a very large family gave him a sense of belonging and stability.

"It looks like you could use a Massage. Here is my card." "Why don't you become a Massage Therapist."

Becoming a Massage Therapist and marrying Paige added to his ability to help others. Hervey and Paige, strove to make their profession better for all Massage Therapists. He held many positions on both the state and national levels of the American Massage Therapy Association. Together they helped to shape state laws in both Texas and Montana. The Asten Center for Natural Therapeutics both North and South gave thousands of students the chance to help others.

"What's your name again? How do you spell it?"

His dedication to the community that he settled in was unfailing. Being a member of the "Ambulance Crew," gave him more means and opportunity to share his unique sense of humor and lend a helping hand. He delivered a baby on the way to Butte and that ended up being one to many times for him.

"How far would you have gotten if I hadn't stopped you?"

Hervey has now rejoined in heaven his parents and the daughter of his heart Dianna R. Townsend. Siblings; Raymond (Elda) Perez, Janie (Eddie) Rincon, Bernie Perez, and Thelma Perez.

"Until we meet again."

You'll have to wait a little longer for us. Spouse Paige D. Asten. Children; K. Paul (Dao) Townsend, Steven B. (Rita) Townsend, F. Elizabeth (Tim) Howser, and daughter of his heart Jill E. Larsen.
