America: Home of the Brave

Dear Readers, thank you for all your support and patience. It has been a long week and I fear I must disappoint you all with another week without a Name to the Face article. Emotionally it has been a draining week for this author and the time seems to have flown by. So thank you all for your patience.

Instead today, I plan to talk about Us as a country. We have just celebrated July 4 and I believe it is only right to talk about unity. This past year and a half it seems like we have all been divided in opinion, emotion, and action. That's what being an individual means after all.

As a country, however, we should all want what is best for all of us. It's a tough road figuring out the right path the United States should be going down. Everyone having their own opinions makes it a difficult task to come to a consensus on many things.

We are all members of the United States though, and this country was built with hundreds of thousands of different opinions that have changed and grown throughout the centuries. We are not the country that was started back then. From clothing, to political issues, to land mass, we as a people have grown together to form the Nation we have now. All we can do is push forward and better ourselves in order to better our Nation. We must look at each other as equals and listen to all the opinions before pushing forward to make our glorious Nation better. We have accepted people of all ages and nationalities with all different types of opinions and traditions. We are a diverse country with a diverse heritage. We all can not be right when we make decisions but we can find a happy medium where most everyone can agree. We are the United States of America. Let's show the world who we are.
