Dear Editor: COVID-19 & 5G

Dear Editor,

Jim Buterbaugh’s letter to the editor from last week’s paper got me thinking. Actually, this subject has been on my mind for quite some time now. I’m admittedly a bit of a conspiracy theorist and one of the theories I’ve recently entertained is the connection between the COVID-19 ‘pandemic’ and 5G. I remember quipping once that “it may be killing us on the inside, but our internet will be so blindingly fast, we won’t care!” A bit harsh maybe and possibly overstated, but studies have shown the damage that these electric waves can do. On a related matter though, the new smart meters ostensibly operate on some of the same principles. We apparently don’t have 5G here in Whitehall yet, so try not to worry too much! The connection, or at least one of them, between COVID-19 and 5G, according to conspiracy, is that the electric waves put out by the 5G are meant to actuate the COVID-19 ‘particles’ that may or may not invade your body. Whether or not there is anything to this ‘theory’ is really beside the fact. The sad fact is, that whatever one believes about these ‘theories,’ much of the reaction to the ‘virus’ that both the government and the general public seem to be exhibiting is largely based in fear. I’ll end with that (for now), but as always, I welcome any discussion on the subject, as long as it doesn’t get too heated.
