Cardwell General Store: New Owners & Staff, Grand Opening Saturday!

Big things are happening at the Cardwell General Store and Campground and new owners Laurie and Curt Perry want you to know all about them!

"We took over ownership June 15 of this year, but at the Fall Festival we realized very few people knew that," Laurie Perry said with a smile. "We are excited to show customers all the changes we've made."

Fate brought them to the Cardwell Store; while driving through the area, they decided they needed to get out of Bozeman and start a new life adventure. As native Montanans, they thought owning and operating a campground would be the perfect fit. A quick Google search found Cardwell Store and Campground up for sale.

"We made an offer the next day, and our new adventure began. We want the Cardwell General Store to be the place the locals go - this store isn't just for the tourists."

New offerings at the Cardwell General Store and Campground include an extensive hunting and fishing line, a Montana-Made gift shop, a remodeled coffee and ice cream section, a great wine and beer selection, including Montana wines, and much more inventory.

While prices have lowered at the Store, Perry explained that gas prices, unfortunately, won't be much different. As the Cardwell General Store is not branded to a specific gas line, transportation costs of the product keep things higher than desired.

Perry is also very proud of her friendly local employees, who she said have been amazing and helpful during the transition and changes.

A Grand Opening event is scheduled for this Saturday, November 20th from 10AM - 4PM. Free hot chocolate, cider, and cookies will be available, as well as 20% off their Country Christian selection. Several Christmas trees are decorated with for-purchase items ; a Giving Tree with over 20 names of local families in need is also available. A ribbon cutting ceremony with the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce will be held at 11AM. Local author Kristine Erinn will also be on hand for a book signing throughout the day.

"We want to meet and greet everyone and let them know we are here for all their needs!" Perry said.

Make sure to mark your calendar and join the fun this Saturday at the Cardwell General Store!
