Please mark your calendar for our Thanksgiving holiday hours. The library will be closed on November 25th and 26th then we will be open regular hours during the rest of the month. Enjoy the holidays with your families and remember to stock up now on new books and videos for the long weekend.

On Friday, December 3rd, at 3:00 p.m. the staff will be hosting a Decorate the Library Party. Everyone is invited to help decorate the library for Christmas by putting up trees, decorating the windows, hanging swags, and more. There will be treats and fun for everyone as the library gets decked out for the season!

December will bring our Crafts4Christmas programs which will give everyone a chance to make a great gift for someone else. Sara and Robin have been ordering some great gifts to make and share with someone special. The programs will be on December 7th, 9th, 14th, and 16th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The programs are open to all ages, so they will be a great way to get in the holiday spirit.

The library will be hopping during December 11 for the Christmas Stroll! The morning will start off with Deanna Mydland from PBS hosting a cookie-making workshop for children and their parents. Everyone will explore the wonders of easy holiday baking and leave with cookie dough to bake as well as a bag of holiday foods to share.

The Friends will be hosting their usual reception from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with treats and drinks to warm up strollers who need to stop in and get warm. The Book Sale will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and bargains will abound. Of course, the highlight of the day will be a visit from Santa from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to come and have their picture taken with Santa, as well as get a special treat.

The Winter Wear Giveaway will begin at 9:30 a.m. and last until we are completely out of hats, coats, socks, and other items needed to keep warm during our long and cold winter season. Everything is free to those in need, no questions asked.

Book Clubs will all meet during December, however, check the date as the meetings will be earlier in the month. The Holocaust Project will meet on December 2 with the Teen Leaders at 5:00 p.m. and the program at 6:00 p.m.
