JVCF Grant Funds Available for Non-Profits

The Jefferson Valley Community Foundation has received grant funds from The Dennis and Phyllis Foundation by way of Montana Rail Link. The Jefferson Community Foundation is soliciting applications from area nonprofits for community service projects that could be greatly enhanced by additional funding.

The Jefferson Valley Community Foundation has always tried to help and support nonprofit organizations that benefit the area we all call home. When we all are involved together in the improvement of our community, the community moves forward together in a positive direction.

The criterion which would be used for evaluation purposes includes: provides a long-term benefit, enjoys support from the community, addresses important unmet needs, improves the quality of community life, and builds a thriving community. These are the general criterion, but others may be added.

To make an application, please provide a letter of application describing the project and why it meets the above-described criterion, why the project should be awarded to the organization, as well as a copy of your organization’s 501(c)3, letter of approval. Your letter of application and IRS form can be left at the Whitehall Community Library.

The deadline for applications is December 31, 2021.

If you have questions, please contact Jeannie Ferriss at 406-287-3763 or John Kreis at 406-490-3515.
