Confusion and misunderstanding flourish in today’s America. A pet peeve I wrestle with is when people throw around words that don't fit the context of Scripture. Here are two humorous examples of how poor translation caused issues for companies. KFC’s “Finger-Lickin’ Good” in China came out as “Eat your fingers off.” Mercedes-Benz, a prominent high-end automaker, launched in China, and it was rough. “Benz” in China was translated as “Bensi,” which for them meant “Rush to die.”
