Liz's Year in Review

On New Year’s Eve last year, I anxiously awaited the clock to strike midnight. Why? Because my big news about purchasing the Whitehall Ledger could officially be released as of January 1, 2021.

Was I scared of this new adventure I was about to embark on? Absolutely. I still am. But I know I’m where I’m supposed to be.

This time last year, there were a lot of unknowns in my life. My family and friends pulled me through these what-ifs with their support and love. Taking on a life dream is super scary, super exciting, and, I’ve found, super fulfilling.

In 2021 I was exhausted, overwhelmed, overjoyed, and, well, mainly, exhausted. But I was so happy. I still am. Each morning when I woke up I didn’t dread the day ahead of me (though there were definitely times my bed wanted me to stay a while longer). I came to the office looking forward to the day I could create for myself, as my own boss, and as a part of this community.

My family and friends all say I am happier...though tired.

Getting reacquainted with Whitehall and becoming an active part has been rewarding. The paper has been so rewarding. Time with my family, which previously had been spent driving to and from Bozeman, has been rewarding.

Overall, 2021 was a blast; however, I’m looking to make 2022 even better. Be prepared because I’ve got ideas that are spilling forth this year! I’m looking forward to sharing them with everyone!
