CARDWELL SPELLERS: Alyssa Lanz and Stephan Weber were the top spellers in the Cardwell School Spelling Bee. Lanz, a sixth grader, took second place; Weber, an eighth grader, took first place.
A.W.A.R.E (Anaconda Work and Residential Enterprises) is helping local families. The nonprofit group helps emotionally troubled youth and their families, with the goal of keeping the youth and family united. Local public and private organizations have received over $2.4 million dollars in recent months to help fund 11 different endeavors in the Whitehall area.
