Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Out of the Darkness Walk April 23rd in Helena

Suicide is the twelfth leading cause of death in this country and in Montana, the second leading cause of death for our youth. It touches millions of lives and people of all ages. The research is clear: suicide is preventable. The more people who stand up for suicide prevention, the more lives are saved.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Montana Chapter will be hosting its 6th Annual Out of the Darkness Campus Walk to fight suicide on April 23, 2022, at 1 PM at East Helena High School. We are also excited to expand our walk in Jefferson and Broadwater counties, now making us the Montana Tri-County Campus Walk. Our walk welcomes community members from Jefferson County! If you've lost someone to suicide, you or someone you know suffers from a mental health condition like depression or anxiety, or you want to stand up for suicide prevention, please join us. All people need to know they're not alone and that someone out there cares. We especially encourage high school students along with their families to join the walk.

Funds raised support the AFSP's goal to reduce the annual suicide rate in the US 20 percent by 2025 through research, education, advocacy, and support. These walks are uplifting and an experience that won't be forgotten. Please support and join the 6th annual campus walk, as every life matters. Register for FREE at afsp.org/tricounty
