Whitehall High School Principal Check-In

Spring fever is in the air, with quarter four well underway. We have 34 middle school track students, 40 high school track students, and 12 students playing golf. We are proud of our students for getting involved, knowing the sunshine and activity is great for them!

Additionally, the 21st Century Grant Middle School program continues to keep more middle school students involved with a seven-week series called Battle Bots. Students are using LEGO bricks to create robots with motors and gears that will navigate using a remote control. They are also offering cultural studies, which started a few weeks ago and will go through the end of May. They are partnering with the public library. Every two weeks students are studying different cultures through art, literature, clothing, food, etc. They’ll study Japanese and German culture this month.

The week of April 11th - 15th everyone will enjoy a much-deserved spring break and gear up for the homestretch of the school year. The high school Jitters Concert is Tuesday, April 19th and music districts occur on the 22nd and 23rd of April in Deerlodge.

Whitehall High School students will once again partner with the City of Whitehall to complete a spring clean-up in the last week of April.

Middle school students have a dance to look forward to on April 30th. Thank you to the parents and the 8th Grade advisors, Mrs. Schofield, and Mr. McLean. Eighth-grade promotion will be Thursday, June 2nd at 7 PM in the varsity gym.

In the last two months of school, we have critical assessments including the Pre-ACTs (10th), SBAC (6-8th), and MAP Benchmark (6-12th). Staff has worked hard to prepare the students to be successful; the students have been busy all year building their skills. At home, if parents can help by ensuring a good night’s rest for your students, this helps immensely as well! The school will notify parents prior to the testing time frames.

The finale of the year occurs with graduation on Sunday the 29th of May at 2 PM. We will miss the class of 2022 and thank them for being mentors and contributing to their school over the last 13 years.

Please continue to follow our Facebook feed - Lots of amazing activities happening with our students!
