Celebrate Clancy Days June 4th

The Clancy Days celebration is scheduled for Saturday, June 4th, 2022. Clancy will be celebrating this annual community event, with the theme this year of "Proving Up!" Each year, the Clancy community invites everyone to help celebrate the history of the area with food, music, contests, a parade, presentations, and vendors.

Clancy, founded in 1864, was a mining, ranching, and agricultural area. Trains between Butte and Helena made stops in Clancy, as well as nearby Alhambra, to bring visitors to the local hot springs resort in the early 20th century. Ranching and rodeo activities played part in Clancy's development. These days, Clancy is a quiet residential community that still maintains much of the history and culture from its early days.

Clancy Days celebrates that heritage by inviting visitors to come and share some good old-fashioned family fun. This year, the theme for the event - "Proving Up!" - celebrates the challenges homesteaders who came to Clancy had to face. After enjoying a pancake breakfast, Clancy Days visitors can meander through the streets peeking at the wares of arts, crafts, and flea market vendors before grabbing some lunch from various food offerings. Then sit on the shaded lawn next to the old schoolhouse and relax before taking in the musical, historical, and educational presentations, supporting the local Fire Dept. by participating in a firewood raffle or puck race for prize money (wooden disks are used instead of rubber ducks), kids games, and contests. At 1:00, the Clancy Volunteer Fire Dept. sounds the siren that begins a parade of tractors, fire trucks, floats, and much, much more that circle the town. Clancy Days promise family fun for all ages!

Arts, crafts, and flea market vendors are welcome! Clancy is located 10 miles south of Helena and about 45 miles north of Butte. Take exit 182 off Interstate 15.
