Argh, Matey! Next week the library will be celebrating Pirate Day for Summer Reading on Wednesday, June 29 at 10:30 AM. There will be stories, crafts, treasure hunts, and more as we set sail for new adventures on the high seas. If you haven't had a chance to sign up for the Summer Reading Program, registration slips are available at the front desk.

STEM Camp is this Thursday, June 23, at 2 PM. We will be exploring some of the wonderful science kits we received through funding from the Broad Valleys Federation. This funding may be used as the libraries wish and this year the library used it to purchase science kits for our STEM Camp program.

There are crystal growing kits, fossil digging experiences, lab rat chemical reaction kits, and more. Science is a great way to keep children learning over the summer and these kits are going to let us explore different types of science and technology.

History Book Club is meeting on Monday, June 27, at 6:30 PM. We are discussing collective biographies this month on every topic one can imagine. If you would like to join us, please come and sit in on the conversation.

We have moved Mind Aerobics to Thursdays at 2 PM. This is a fun and educational time of learning to improve your memory skills while improving your mental acuity. Diane Jensen is using different tools to show patrons how to exercise their minds. The class is open to anyone who wants to stay sharp.

The Holocaust Book discussion group is meeting on Thursday, June 30, at 6 PM. The group voted last year to continue the book discussion group and have put in for another grant from Humanities Montana. If you would like to come and join the discussion group and discover more information about the project, call the library at 287-3763 or stop by the front desk.

The summer blockbusters are starting to come in. If you have a new book you would like to see added to the collection, please give us the title and author of the book. The library covers many areas so we cannot order every book but suggestions from patrons keep the collection varied and interesting!
