FD22: Whitehall's Wild West Frontier Days July 22nd and 23rd

With Frontier Days “Whitehall’s Wild West” just days away, the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 2022 event is bigger and better than ever! Whitehall is ready for a safe and fun weekend filled with food, vendors, music, rodeo, and more. This year celebrates the 38th year of the annual festivities.

Due to the current construction on Legion Avenue, several locations have been changed for certain events. Please remember to be vigilant while walking across Legion Avenue and have a safe Frontier Days!

Frontier Days will open Friday morning with vendors in Legion Park and the Main Street Green.

Travel down to the Whitehall Community Library for their Read & Feed and Book Sale, where you can grab a snack to-go and a novel for a later day. This event will be held from 10 AM to noon on both Friday and Saturday.

The Jefferson Valley Fine Arts Show is scheduled for 9 AM to 5 PM Friday and Saturday 9AM to 4:30 PM in the Borden’s Conference Room. This event will feature local artists and their creations.

Historic tours will be available at the Jefferson Valley Museum on Friday, July 22 at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 3:3o PM, as well as Saturday, July 23 at 2 PM. The tours take about an hour and a half; tickets are available at the Jefferson Valley Museum for $5.

The Wyldman Rodeo will kick off at 6:30 PM at the Whitehall Rodeo Grounds; $10 gate admission. This year’s event is Bring-Your-Own-Beer, so please drink responsibly. Rodeo sponsors should pick their gift bag up at the front gate from the Chamber ticket takers.

The Whitehall Chamber of Commerce, Settings, Pipestone Ringing Rocks RV Park, John Kreis, Kristi’s Kiddie Korner, Peppertree Deli, and Cardwell General Store have come together to bring you Friday night’s street dance with Aberdeen Alley, immediately following the Wyldman Rodeo. This event will be held on Main Street. The dance will begin at 9 PM and run until midnight.

Saturday will start off at 6:30 with the Firemans Pancake Breakfast at the Whitehall Volunteer Fire Department.

Vendors will be open and ready for your business at 8 AM.

The Barrel Racing Series will begin at the Whitehall Rodeo Grounds at 11 AM.

The 16th Annual Mark Jordan Horseshoe Tournament in Legion Park is set to begin at 8 AM with a 30-person maximum and a $15 buy-in.

The Bill Baycroft and Bob Casagrande Memorial Rod Run will kick off at 9 AM on the west end of Legion Park. Awards will be handed out at 3 PM.

Whitehall’s Wild West Frontier Days Parade will begin lineup near the Country Store at 10 AM and launch down Legion Avenue at 11 AM Make sure to find your best viewing location early - grassy seats fill up fast!

The Whitehall Chamber of Commerce BBQ will immediately follow the parade; the BBQ is brought to you by the Whitehall Chamber and sponsored by Jefferson Fresh Foods, Butte Auto, Northwestern Energy, Cardwell General Store, and Split Diamond Ranch. Thank you to our helpers at Expedition Church for serving the meal! All proceeds go to the Whitehall Chamber to continue to fund events like Frontier Days.

The Museum Gab Fest is slated for noon to 4 PM at the Jefferson Valley Museum.

Setting by All Things Montana will have a kids (12 and under) gem dig available outside their shop on Main Street from 1 PM to 4 PM.

The Whitehall PTSA, Chamber, and Gold Junction Presents will have kids’ activities on the Main Street Green from 1 PM to 4 PM. The kids tractor pull will take place on Main Street from 1 PM to 4 PM as well.

Whitehall area non-profit Gold Junction Presents is bringing back the Talent Show and adding a Lip Sync contest Saturday from 3 PM to 6 PM. Special guest - professional magician, sword swallower, and fire-breather Eric the Excellent - will open the event and perform throughout. Whitehall resident Tim Schober will emcee the festivities. The annual Saturday street dance is set for 9 PM to midnight and will feature King Friday. This event is brought to you by A&W/KFC and Generations Salon and will be held on Division Street.
