Memorial Rod Run Brings in Dozens of Beauties

The Bill Baycroft & Bob Casagrande Memorial Rod Run, held Saturday, July 23 in Legion Park, brought in dozens of classic cars and trucks to Frontier Days.

Al Johnson, the Rod Run coordinator, would like to thank all the participants for making the trip to the event, as well as the registration help from Jake Hart, Frank Padrotti, and Ed Curran. Thanks also go to the event sponsors: Al's Mobile Glass, Mountain West Car Quest, Whitehall Drug, Danny Johnson, Mike Tilleo Graphics, Veremier Graphics, Tom and Sandee Tockdale, the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce, and the Town of Whitehall.

• People's Choice Award: Jim Rentmeistor and his 1935 Ford truck.

• Bill Baycroft Award: Gina Fleming and her 1946 Chevy sedan.

• Bob Casagrande Award: Joe Dillon and his 1955 Chevy truck.

• Rat Rod Award: Charlie Smith and his 1962 Ford truck.

• Best Truck Award: Joe Dillon and his 1955 Chevy truck.

• Long Distance Award (out of state): Chuck Blackman and his 1955 Chevy Gasser, from Lake Stevens, Washington.

• Long Distance Award (in-state): Mark Nelson and his 1966 Ford F100 truck, from Hamilton, Montana.

• 90th Year Award: Tommy Taylor and his 1932 Ford 3 window Coop.
