Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Whitehall Happiness Corner: Happy Retirement, Rhea Armstrong

This year Lewis & Clark State Parks said farewell to the longtime leader and Park Manager, Rhea Armstrong, who is off to new adventures! The Park is so thankful for everything Rhea did during her 36 years here!

During her time as manager, she expanded cave accessibility by offering Paradise Tours daily, fundraised and planned for the fantastic shade shelter, and coordinated the replacement of aging park infrastructure (roofs, buildings, sewers, etc.) She also expanded the Gift Corral to have a grill again for the first time since the Link/Ruth era in the 1950s.

She has also rightfully earned the award of most bathrooms cleaned since she's worked at the park for the longest period of time out of anyone in the modern day! Thank you Rhea for your service to the State of Montana and to the Caverns!
