Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Free Program at Jefferson Valley Museum September 21

A free history program is being offered at the Jefferson Valley Museum, 303 South Division Street, on the evening of Wednesday, September 21st at 6:30 PM. The museum has a number of oral histories, mostly done by Roy Millegan, with interviews dating back to the late 1980s. This program will feature the talk Roy had with Bernard May in 1989 along with historical photos that relate to the things Bernard talks about. The recording of the talk has not been edited so those attending should be aware that there are a few swear words throughout.

Bernard May spent part of his youth on his parents' homestead on the Parrot Bench and graduated from Whitehall High School in 1930. His father, John May, was the first homesteader to prove up on his homestead of those who settled on the Bench.
