THE FACTS

Jefferson County Commissioner Leonard Wortman stated that the River Restaurant, owned by Greg Hughes, closed over the weekend and that there had been discussion about the possibility of purchasing the building for the County Health Department. The department has outgrown its space at the community medical center and has been looking at possibilities for growth.
