Between the Stacks: Week of October 14th

One of the greatest joys of my job at the Whitehall Community Library (110 W First - Whitehall) is telling patrons I have a new order of books in. This week Brandi and I stopped at Barnes & Noble and brought home almost $5,000 in new books. I didn’t pay nearly that much because they give me a fantastic discount, but the effect was the same. All week I have heard little voices and big voices exclaiming their delight with “Wow!” “When are they going to be out?” “Can I look?” “Is this book on the cart?” And, my favorite, “Can I check out all of them?” Books bring so much pleasure to everyone, and...
