Dear Editor,

We thank The Monitor for hosting last Tuesday's 2026 HD-75 candidate forum (audio link: 2026 HD-75 Candidate Forum.mp3). The informal conversations with all three candidates and their answers to questions from The Monitor's publisher and editor were helpful. Because the audience could not ask follow-up questions, however, we would like to offer additional issues that arise because of the candidates' responses.
