2023 Chamber of Commerce Board Announced

The Whitehall Chamber of Commerce held its annual elections meeting on Thursday, December 8 at Bordens Conference Room with a full house in attendance.

Once elections were completed, the new board was announced: President Elizabeth Pullman (Whitehall Ledger), Vice President Dana Brunet (Peppertree Deli), Past President Pamela Polachi (Settings), Treasurer Sherre Mead (Numb3rs) and Board of Director members Carey Burnside (Arctic Heat), Kylie Hansen (Whitehall PTSA), Anna Coleman (Starlight Electric), Samara Doran (Friend of the Chamber), and Sharon Macheel (vendor representative). Outgoing from the Board was Lorie Steerman (Friend of the Chamber) as Treasurer, John Kreis (Friend of the Chamber) as Past President, and Board of Directors Rhea Armstrong (Friend of the Chamber), and Laurie Perry (Cardwell General Store).

IN OTHER NEWS:

• It was decided that the 2023 meeting dates would be the second Thursday of each month, with the first meeting of 2023 an evening Membership Drive on Thursday, January 12 at 6 PM at Borden's. All are invited to attend to learn what the 2023 Board is planning for the Chamber.

• To clarify confusion when July has more than four weekends, it was decided that Frontier Days will always fall on the last weekend of July. In the same vein of thinking, the Whitehall Christmas Festival will always be held on the second weekend in December.

•The Fall Festival for 2023 has been moved to September 22-23 in order to garner better weather and avoid conflicts with space in the Community Center.

•Kreis announced that the old mural formerly at Jefferson Fresh Foods had found a new home and brought in $1500 of revenue to be used for the next mural renewal project.
