Robert C. Nevin, 84

Robert C "Bob" Nevin, 84 yrs. old, passed away on January 24, 2023, of natural causes. He passed away in his home surrounded by his wife and daughters. Bob was born and raised in Big Timber, MT. In 1958, Bob married Barbara Reed and they just shared their 64th wedding anniversary in December. Bob's birthday was five days prior to his passing and he and his family had a great day together. He was all smiles and laughter and it was a wonderful day for all.

Bob and Barbara have been residents in the Cardwell and Whitehall area for over 50 yrs. Bob worked for the Anaconda Copper Mining Company, and the Golden Sunlight Mine; he and Barbara owned and operated Clays in Calico Pottery in Cardwell, MT from 1975 to 1987.

Bob was civic-minded and always tried to stay involved with and better his community. He was quick to find a joke in all his conversations and loved spending time daily downtown having coffee and visiting and joking with his friends. Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Ozzie and Nettie Nevin; his sister Ellen Jenicek; and brother Ozzie "Butch" Nevin.

Bob is survived by his wife Barbara; his sisters Sheri Mosness and Marilyn Blumhagen (Darrel); daughters Kyndra Nevin and Jeanette Nevin Bird; grandchildren Joshua Bird (Becka), Cherokee Nevin(Adalberto), and Declan Nevin; great-grandchildren Jordan Weston, Tyeler Bird, and Beau Bird; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Bob is being planned for a later date. Cards or letters can be sent to PO Box 730, Whitehall, MT 59759 and any donations in his name can be made to the Whitehall Food Pantry.
