Dear Editor: In Agreement with Buterbaugh

Dear Editor,

Responding to Mr. Buterbaugh’s letter of January 25, 2023, we are in agreement with him regarding the desperate need for better education, especially with respect to the history of the country and our founding documents. We do take issue with this in the fact that until such education can be initiated much less set in motion and even provided in a meaningful and last way, we feel that our country will be already far and away down the proverbial “slippery slope”! The education system needs re-vamping and a first step would be to eliminate the unions and reduce the administrative bureaucracy which has been increasing every year while results (student grades and scores) continue to go down.

In the meantime keeping elections as they are without term limits, well, we must ask, “How is that working out for you?” We have so-called leaders in office for over 40 years while doing nothing but harming our liberties and way of life. Many voters are busy earning a living and raising families or are too disinterested to learn about the candidates so we end up with “familiar names” being re-elected time and again.

As far as listing the roles of the government as noted, THINGS ARE NOT BEING DONE AS PRESCRIBED !!! The House has given up its role of controlling the purse strings, the Court is now being controlled by politics and mob rule, and the Executive branch - well, it is completely out of control, writing Executive Orders every 5 minutes; the bottom line is the Bureaucracy is in control ... this cannot stand!

The Convention of States will give us the chance to regain control and save our country.

Please look into it and study it for yourselves...
