Christensen Resigns Position, New Council Meeting Day Set

The Whitehall Town Council’s March meeting was quick and to the point, lasting less than 45 minutes on Monday, March 13.

The biggest news of the evening: the announcement of Allissa Christensen’s resignation from the Whitehall Town Clerk/Treasurer position. Christensen has taken the School Clerk position effective April 17.

“It has been a pleasure working with some of you,” she said. “I appreciate those who have been kind and patient with me as I navigated through this challenging job. Those members of the public who have been vindictive or resentful, I would like to request that you show more respect to the current and future staff.”

It was also determined at the March meeting by the Town Council to move their monthly meetings to the third Monday of the month, instead of the second. This will begin as of April; the next Town Council meeting will be held April 17 at 7 PM in the Town Hall chambers.
