Hilde A. Lambrecht, 93

Hildegard Antretter “Hilde” Lambrecht passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at St. James Healthcare in Butte, Montana.

Hilde was born Wednesday, November 20, 1929, in Sollhuben, Bavaria Germany to Peter and Wallburger Antretter. She grew up in Germany during WWII and was blessed to come to the United States in December of 1949, sponsored by her Aunt Mary Eastwood from Billings, Montana. Hilde arrived at Ellis Island, New York after sailing from LeHavre, France on the Ile De France ship. Her name is forever engraved on the American Immigrant Wall of Honor at Ellis Island.

Hildegard met Charles Lambrecht, a WWII veteran, in Billings and they were married on May 24, 1952. The couple lived in numerous places throughout Montana while Charles worked for Montana Power Company and eventually settled in Butte and retired in Whitehall. Charles passed away on May 30, 2005.

Hilde was a devout Christian who enjoyed skiing, gardening, scrapbooking, traveling, and get-togethers with the German Ladies Coffee Clutch. She truly loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Debbie Lambrecht of Butte, Mark and Shelly Lambrecht of Boring, Oregon, daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Shawn Fuller of Whitehall, grandchildren: Eric and Kayla Lambrecht and Lindsay and Scott Mulcahy, great-grandchildren: Karsyn Lambrecht, Addisyn Lambrecht, Dawson Lambrecht, Colie Mulcahy, and Rizzie Mulcahy. Also surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Hilde Antretter of Germany, sister-in-law, Pat Hardt of Billings, and cousin, Rose Marie Isbell of Phoenix, Arizona.

Private graveside funeral services will be conducted in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.
