2nd Round Mini Mall Opening May 5th on Legion

Cinco de Mayo will be a day of celebration for sure at 14 East Legion in Whitehall, as it marks the grand opening of the 2nd Round Mini Mall. The kickoff event runs Friday and Saturday, from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Building owner Elena Wagner hinted at a wine-tasting party for those 21 and older on Friday, as well as sales on both Friday and Saturday in celebration of the long-awaited opening.

2nd Round Mini Mall is currently home to six separate retailers, with Wagner's store called The Garden Gift Shop. An outdoor flea market is slated to begin in June.

Formerly a slew of restaurants, the space has been converted into retail, though the commercial kitchen will soon be utilized for instructional classes, Wagner said.

Each individual space has its own feel and decor, featuring everything from leather goods, tie-dyed clothing, knick-knacks, antiques, and more.

A community non-perishable pantry has also been installed, with the mantra to "Take what you need, leave what you can, and pay it forward." There is also a selection of free newborn to 6-month baby clothes for those with little ones.

Don't miss out on the Cinco De Mayo Celebration at 2nd Round Mini Mall at 14 East Legion this Friday and Saturday, 10 AM - 5 PM. New items are arriving daily and, Wagner said, the store is continuously changing.
