JVFA Providing the Art of Live Music Too!

Jefferson Valley Fine Art exhibit promises a wonderful array of fine art at this Frontier Days exhibit, on July 28 and 29. On Saturday, July 29th, Salmon Fly, comprised of Whitehall resident Rex Davis and Churchill resident Ed Merritt will be playing live music, starting at 11 AM. Come in and do some toe-tapping while you enjoy this exhibit.

Our annual exhibit features a wide variety of art from area artists and has always been a crowd-pleaser for all ages. ‘Paintings in the Large’ are being featured by the Painters in the Potting Shed (PIPS) this year as a response to a challenge presented to them in January. Featured artists are Andrea Mulligan, Dawn Huckaba, Janet Chapman, Jean Fastenow, Kathleen Davis, Michele Franich, and Patsy Jensen. Frames for these paintings were graciously provided by Ginny Fetters. You don’t want to miss these!

We will also have another refurbished Wonder Horse for the raffle this year. This is the third rocking horse we’ve raffled. Tickets will be sold during this event, and the drawing will be held during the Whitehall Christmas Festival. This year’s rocking horse was donated by Tom Salvagni. He has fond memories of riding it as a young child and is looking forward to his horse bringing many hours of fun to another child. It was refurbished by the Painters in the Potting Shed. It is a smaller version and would be a perfect first horse for a lucky toddler. Don’t miss the chance to buy your ticket for this one!

Be sure to come into Borden’s Conference Room, Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29 from 9 AM to 5 PM, and take a break from the heat to experience the talent that surrounds our area. Admission is free!
