Head Start Open House September 29

Whitehall Rocky Head Start will host an Open House for the community on Friday, September 29 from noon to 1 PM at the Whitehall Head Start building at 405 W. Legion Street.

All children ages three and four are eligible to apply for Head Start, an inclusive early childhood learning opportunity for children of all abilities. Head Start is free to qualifying families and focuses on high-quality early childhood education, physical and oral health, positive social and emotional development, healthy nutrition, and access to a stable, nurturing, and encouraging environment.

Enrollment is only half full, said new Community Coordinator and site supervisor Rhea Armstrong, and she urges all to come visit, meet the new teachers, and register. New teachers this year include Ann Dutton and teacher's assistant Amber Templeton. School will open for the 2023-2024 school year on October 2nd.
