Whitehall Community Helps Save Screams Come True, Event Opens October 19th

After several months of back-and-forth discussions with the State Fire Marshall, Screams Come True (SCT) has been given the go-ahead after installing a commercial fire suppression system, smoke detectors, and lighted exit signage in the Whitehall Community Center.

This endeavor was not a cheap one but the community of Whitehall came to the aid, knowing the value SCT provides to other community events - SCT funds community theatre, Shakespeare in the Park, the Gold Junction Presents film series, the Main Street Green, music series, and workshops provided to the Whitehall and Cardwell schools.

Thank you to Slater Fire Sprinkler Systems, Inc. Kyle Wyatt and his team, based out of Three Forks, have been fans of SCT over the years and donated all of their engineering and design services of the fire suppression system. The Slater team has been working tirelessly for the last two weeks to get the system installed before SCT begins building this week.

Thank you to the Whitehall Country Store for their grant and loan, as well as the Whitehall TIFF Board, Whitehall Chamber of Commerce, and a private donor.

SCT currently has a $10,000 loan for the remainder of the system. If anyone would like to donate to the cause, your tax-deductible donation may be made to Gold Junction Presents, PO Box 25, Whitehall, MT 59759.

Screams Come True opens Thursday, October 19th, and runs the 19-21, 26-28, and the 31st. Tickets are available at http://www.screamscometruemt.com.
