Several Third Graders Win JVM Poster Contest

The Jefferson Valley Museum recently held a poster contest for third-grade Whitehall Elementary School students. Teachers Casey McLean and Michelle Head walked with their students to our local museum for their fall field trip. At the museum, students were given a tour that highlighted the main artifact themes on display which include farming, ranching, mining, railroads, and the military. While at the museum, students were asked to select one of these five themes and make a collage poster. Using old National Geography magazine pictures, scissors, and lots of glue sticks, posters were created on-site. Jefferson Valley Museum board members judged the posters and selected the top 7 entries.

The winning posters will be on display at the Whitehall branch of Rocky Mountain Bank during the week of December 11-15, 2023.
