A Shop Local Poem from the Whitehall Chamber

'Twas the week of our Christmas Festival & all through the town

Whitehall Chamber Members were bustling, up aisles and down.

Gifts were hung in the windows all with great care,

In hopes the community would SHOP LOCAL there.

The merchants were busy - no time for their beds,

Visions of happy customers danced in their heads.

When out on the street there arose such a clatter.

We sprang from our office to see what was the matter.

Away to the windows, we flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

When what to our wandering eyes should appear?

Our community growing and thriving...
