Jessica Brower of Whitehall was one of seven Montana State University-Bozeman students to present a poster explaining her research at this year's National Collegiate Honors Council conference in Chicago.

Georgiana Andersen of Dillon and Doreen McDowell of Cardwell were two of the honorees at the annual Cardwell School Thanksgiving Meal for area senior citizens, held at noon on November 25 in the Cardwell School gym.

Whitehall area homeschoolers presented two plays during the Whitehall Holiday Bazaar on November 28. One group presented Actions Speak Louder Than Words and another group presented Hairum Scarum.

Whitehall Student of the Week was sophomore Mike Curtis for his hard work and enthusiasm in Math. Teacher Chuck Peterson said Mike is a "can do" kind of guy. Mike said he was going to learn Algebra, and that is exactly what he was doing, as well as helping another student. Mike's uncle and aunt are Mike and Cindy Frey. He plans on a career in auto mechanics. Mike enjoys hunting, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, dogs and horses.

Whitehall Athletes of the Week was the Lady Trojan Basketball Team. The Whitehall Lady Trojan girls basketball team defied the odds at the Southern B Divisional Tournament and earned another berth at the state tournament. The Lady Trojans are playing their best basketball of the year and we are all proud of their efforts and accomplishments.

WHS Creative Leader of the Week was Jamie Ruckdaschel. Jamie received creative honors for her outstanding commitment and positive attitude in Concert Band and Pep Band. Band director Jen Cunningham says Jamie strives every day to do her best and is very helpful with beginning players. She is a junior and the daughter of Keith and Nila Ruckdaschel. Jamie has college plans and enjoys her friends, volleyball, Pep Band, movies, playing her flute, and listening to music.
