Blessed: Home For Christmas

The Whimsical Wonders (WWs) were very fortunate to have the gnomes from Random Acts of Silliness (RAS) join us for the first annual Enchanted Forest Faire (EFF) in June of 2023.

Before the EFF, the gnomes stayed for a few days at various businesses and also the Meadowlark Manor, the Library, and the Post Office. On the Friday before the EFF, the gnomes were picked up from all the places they had been visiting and became part of the EFF. The gnomes played a big part in the success of the EFF.

Imagine our surprise when in late July, we discovered one of the gnomes was still at M&M Vintage! He had been enjoying his life in this interesting store! I brought that visit to an end and took him to my house in the country. He shared the house with three cats and two dogs; he was happy.

When the WWs went to Bumblewood Thicket Fairy Village on August 26, 2023, we took the gnome to return him to his gnome family. You can imagine our surprise when we returned to Whitehall and discovered the gnome had hidden in the car and came back with us! What a sneaky little guy! We notified the RAS group the gnome was back in Whitehall. They understood how this happened as they told us, gnomes are sneaky.

As it got closer and closer to Christmas, I realized we needed to get this sneaky little gnome home for Christmas. On December 15th, 2023 I decided to take him home. I packed him in a soft padded box for the trip but when I turned on 7th Ave in Bozeman, he had kicked up a ruckus and wanted out of the box!

When I pulled up in front of RAS member Anna Visscher's home, he really got excited. I carefully carried him across the street to Anna's house where another gnome was waiting for him on the porch, and he was delighted.

I didn't know the sneaky little gnome's name but that day I decided to name him BLESSED because he had been on a great adventure from late June until he returned home on December 15th. He had done some risky things before today but he was now safely home, thus he is blessed.

I am already missing little BLESSED but hope he comes to the next EFF event in 2024!
