Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Be Heard: Take the Community Survey and Help Update the Jefferson County Growth Policy

Jefferson County is updating its Growth Policy, which is the County's guide for addressing land use, housing, community services, and economic development issues. The update process will evaluate the county's opportunities and issues, identify community trends, and create achievable goals and real-world projects that can help improve the lives of County residents.

To efficiently gather the input of County residents for this process, the Planning Board and Planning Staff have put together an online and hardcopy survey that they are asking people to complete. The survey can be accessed at the County website at http://www.jeffersoncounty-mt.gov or via the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JeffCo.

You can also complete the survey in hard copy, which can be picked up at the County Courthouse, County Clerk and Recorder's Office, or the public libraries in Montana City, Clancy, Boulder, and Whitehall. Please note that the online survey will be open through May 15th.

This summer, open houses will be held in Montana City, Boulder, and Whitehall to share the survey results and gather more community input. Open house dates will be posted once scheduled, so watch for posters and information on the County's website and Facebook page or in the Boulder Monitor and Whitehall Ledger.
