Dear Editor: Support For Ray Shaw

Dear Editor,

I am writing to ask your support for Ray Shaw's election as your Senator in Senate District 35. I served with Ray in the 2013 Legislative Session and worked with him in the 2015 Session. Ray is dedicated, focused, thoughtful, and honest in his deliberations. He is not a robot, blindly supporting ideological issues just because some think he should. He listens to his conscience and constituents, carefully considering what is best for his constituents. As a retired military veteran and 40+ year advocate for our military, veterans, and their families, I was pleased that Ray Shaw understood and supported several military and veteran bills that were considered.

In 2021, Ray, an Air Force Veteran, was appointed and continues to serve as the Montana Commissioner of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children. This undying commitment to our military is a testament to his support of our Montana Veterans, the Active Component, the National Guard, and their military families.

I know Ray to be a citizen who will serve you honorably, a legislator who genuinely will study the issues, ask many questions, and take his decisions seriously. His conservative values have served his district citizens well, and his agricultural experience is a valuable asset for the residents of Senate District 35.

I ask you to vote for Ray Shaw as your Senator for Senate District 35 this primary election and return one of the best legislators I have enjoyed serving with and knowing.
