Whitehall Public Transportation Needs Your Support - Join Them Saturday!

Whitehall Public Transportation (WPT) invites you to join the fun on Saturday, May 11, for their Mother's Day Breakfast at the Whitehall Community Center from 8 AM to 11:30 AM. The price depends on age, and door prizes will be available for Mom!

This event is an important fundraiser for WPT. Many don't realize how important WPT is to our community or even what they do.

"I never knew I could hop on the WPT bus and catch a ride to Butte or Bozeman," said Ledger owner Elizabeth Pullman. "I honestly thought their services were only for the elderly or disabled. More people need to utilize this!"

In 2011, Liberty Place, Inc., a local nonprofit assisted living facility for survivors of brain injuries, closed a deal with the Whitehall Senior Center to take on their transportation department, led then by Dick Gustin. This collaboration gave rise to Whitehall Public Transportation, a service driven by the simple yet profound mission of providing accessible and reliable transportation to all members of our community.

Since then, WPT has grown into a vital lifeline, ensuring that Whitehall and the surrounding area's residents can easily access essential services such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, and employment. WPT's dedicated drivers and staff work tirelessly to ensure every ride is safe, comfortable, and welcoming.

Community involvement is at the heart of the operation. Through regular meetings, WPT listens to passengers' needs and strives to improve its services continuously to serve the community better.

WPT's services are open to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or financial status. WPT is proud to extend its reach to the town of Boulder since 2020, furthering its commitment to providing inclusive transportation solutions to all.

As WPT continues its journey, they invite you to their upcoming Mother's Day Breakfast Fundraiser on May 11th. It's not just a meal; it's a celebration of community, connection, and the important role that WPT plays in bringing us all together.

Watch for more information on the upcoming Culpepper & Meriweather Circus coming to Whitehall on June 27th. This event is brought to you by WPT and will also be a major fundraising effort.
