The holidays are upon us and Whitehall is a bustling place to be in the upcoming weeks! Don’t miss out on all the fun, friends, and food that starts right at Thanksgiving and leads us to the New Year!

THURSDAY, NOV. 28: PTSA TURKEY TROT. Get your heart kickin’ before you dive into all the turkey fixins with a 3K walk/run. Checkin at 8 AM at the Elementary School Parking lot, with the race beginning at 9 AM. $15 per person or $50 for a family of 6. FRIDAY, NOV. 29: RIDGELINE SPORTS NEW LOCATION GRAND OPENING. Black Friday is opening day for Ridgeline Sports new location at 607 West Legion in Whitehall. Doors open at 9 AM. Free gift for the first 30 customers. Sales, giveaways, and refreshments!

FRIDAY, NOV. 29 - SUNDAY, DEC. 1: MOANA 2. For the holiday season, the Star Theatre will be offering both matinees (2 PM) and evening showings (7 PM) of all their new releases.

SATURDAY, NOV. 30: COMMUNITY COAT DRIVE. Free coat to anyone in need as supplies last, 9 AM to noon at the First Christian Church (100 E. First St.) If you would like to make a donation of a coat in good condition, please call 406-287-3134.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 4 and THURSDAY, DEC. 5: WHS MADRIGAL DINNER. The Whitehall High School Madrigal Dinner, presented by the WHS Music Department, will be held December 4th and 5th at 6:30 PM in the WHS Multi-Purpose Room. Festivities include music, dancing, contests, skits, and medieval meal. Tickets are $30 per person, with a meal which includes smoked pork, haricots vert, jacket potatoes, crusty bread, and cheesecake pudding. THURSDAY, DEC. 5: WHITEHALL LEDGER COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS PARTY. Join us at 6 PM at the Star Theatre for a holiday party of a whole other kind - lots of food, drink, and cheer - and watch GREMLINS for free while enjoying everyone’s company! The entire community is invited! Wear your favorite Christmas jammies or your ugliest sweater—just come comfortable and ready to enjoy the festivities and kick off the Christmas Stroll weekend! Gremlins (free) starts at 7 PM. Bring some cookies to share and trade, and a White Elephant Gift Exchange will be held after the movie for those interested.

FRIDAY, DEC. 6 - SUNDAY, DEC. 8: MOANA 2. For the holiday season, the Star Theatre will be offering both matinees (2 PM) and evening showings (7 PM) of all their new releases.

SATURDAY, DEC. 7: Whitehall Christmas Stroll. The Christmas fun really gets underway with the annual Whitehall Christmas Stroll. Vendors abound at the Montana Western Legacy Center and Whitehall Community Center from 10 AM to 5 PM. The Whitehall Saddle Club Wreath Auction voting will be held at the Community Center, with the auction taking place at 7 PM in the Mint Bar. The Veteran’s Chili Feed will be at the Community Center from 10 AM until it’s gone! Christmas at the Library (9 AM - 3 PM) includes visits from Santa, crafts, the Winter Wear Giveaway, live music, and the annual Friends Reception. Horsedrawn wagon rides from the community center to the Legacy Center will be offered by Rocking R Lacy T Drafts. Make sure to get a BINGO blackout card from the Chamber or at the Community Center and visit all the local vendors to win!

THURSDAY, DEC. 12: PTSA SOUP AND A MOVIE EVENT. Whitehall PTSA & 21st Century free showing of The Santa Claus at Star Theatre and dinner, card making, and more. Doors open at 4:30 PM, movie at 6 PM.

SATURDAY, DEC. 14: MTWLC’s COWBOY CHRISTMAS DINNER. Dinner, dancing, live paintings and Best Dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl contests are featured at this 2nd annual event, held at the Whitehall Community Center, with doors opening at 5 PM. World champion bronc rider Deb Greenough’s bronze sculpture will be unveiled - all in support of the Montana Western Legacy Center. Tickets are available until December 1st at the MTWLC (415 N Whitehall St) or at http://www.westernlegacycenter.com.

FRIDAY, DEC. 13 - SUNDAY, DEC. 15: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Matinees at 2 PM Friday - Sunday and evening showings Friday - Sunday at 7 PM.

THURSDAY, DEC. 19: A Christmas Carol (1938). Free showing at 7 PM at the Star Theatre, brought to you by Gold Junction Presents and the Montana Film Commission.

FRIDAY, DEC. 20 - SUNDAY, DEC. 22: Mufasa: The Lion King. Matinees at 2 PM Friday - Sunday and evening showings Friday - Sunday at 7 PM.

MONDAY, DEC. 23: The Polar Express. FREE tickets - sponsored by a local resident who wishes everyone a Merry Christmas! 7 PM at the Star Theatre. Parents - bring your presents upstairs at the Star and Gold Junction Presents will wrap them for free!
