At this time of year, you might notice an infiltration of tall yellow flowers on your property. This Eurasian species arrived here in the early 1900s and has become quite the nuisance. Its thick, alternating leaves branch off of the thick stem, leading to the snapdragon-like yellow flowers located towards the top of the plant.
