Whitehall's paving project is a go! The Whitehall Town Council awarded the town street paving bid at the June 15 council meeting, voted to fund the project and learned that millings will begin arriving on June 21 and anticipate the paving project starting as early as the first part of July.

WHS Organizer of the Week: Boy Scouts & Cub Scouts. The Whitehall Club and Boy Scouting program has over 30 members and close to 12 adult mentors, and is proud to be the new "Organization of the week." The Scouts have launched a new program to demonstrate support and respect for the American flag. To honor veterans and the nation, the Scouts will place flags on Flag Day, Veterans Day, and the Fourth of July at homes and businesses for a small fee. The Scouts also play a large role in two food drives every year.

WHS Volunteer of the Week: Kipp Keim. Keim, of Shotgun Construction, volunteered his time and his equipment to grade the rodeo grounds/ball fields roads last week. The roads had deep ruts and large holes before Kipp and his grader started, and were level and in pretty good shape after he got done.; Kipp's work came at a great time - prior to the Professional Women;s Rodeo in Whitehall on June 17-18 and the upcoming baseball and softball tournaments.

WHS Athletes of the Week: Whitehall Rodeo Team. Fourteen members of the Whitehall Rodeo Team are competing in Miles City on June 21-25 at the Montana High School Rodeo Association state rodeo. Members of the rodeo team have competed in 31 different rodeos this year, and had to have earned points to qualify for the rodeo in Miles City. (Whitehall Ledger - BROOKLYNN LANES)
