Whitehall Gearing Up for Frontier Days: Celebration Promises Fun for All

Dust off your boots and saddle up, because Whitehall is fixin' to throw one heck of a hoedown during this year's Frontier Days, a three-day celebration of small-town pride, Western spirit, and good ol'-fashioned community fun. Brought to you by the newly formed Whitehall Events group, this year's theme is "Back to Our Roots," from July 24th to 26th, the town is rollin' out the welcome mat for locals and visitors alike.

The festivities kick off Thursday, July 24, with a dip in the pool and some hometown hospitality. From 1 to 5 PM, kids can cool off with free swimming at the Whitehall Community Pool, courtesy of the Whitehall Rotary Club. Then, mosey over to the Community BBQ from 5 to 7 PM at the Golden Sunlight Mine Pavilion in Legion Park. This BBQ is sponsored by Ressler Motors; fill your belly with good grub, lively music, and even better company! The day wraps up with a Pre-Parade Meeting at 7 PM at Town Hall-perfect for those eager to be part of Saturday's big procession.

Come Friday, July 25, the action really starts heating up. Valley Bank starts the day with a Community BBQ from 11 AM to 2 PM, followed by an afternoon full of vendors in Legion Park and food on Main Street. Cool off at the Firemen's Dunk Booth from 3 to 5 PM-bring your best throw and maybe dunk your favorite local fireman! Then hold onto your hats, folks, because Keith Sayers and his freestyle motocross crew take to the skies at 5:15 PM, followed by the always-thrilling PRCA Rodeo at 7 PM.

Saturday, July 26, is a full day of frontier-style fun, starting bright and early with the Firemen's Breakfast from 6:30 to 10 AM. If you're feelin' spry, join the 5K Fun Run at 8 AM, sponsored by Sacry Electric. The town will be bustling all day with vendors, food, a classic car show, carnival games, live music, and more.

At 11 AM, don't miss the heart and soul of Frontier Days-the "Back to Our Roots" Parade, sponsored by Barrick Golden Sunlight Mine. Expect horses, floats, tractors, and plenty of local pride marching right down Legion. Afterward, keep the fun rolling with a cornhole tournament, kids' tractor pull, a juicy watermelon eating contest, live music on the Green, and the ever-popular Firemen's Duck Race at 3 PM.

Keith Sayers returns with another jaw-droppin' motocross show at 5:15 PM, followed by another round of rough-and-rowdy rodeo at 7 PM. When the sun sets, it's time to kick up some dust at the Street Dance on Division at 10 PM, sponsored by A&W/KFC and Generations Salon. Night owls can round out the evening with a free midnight movie at the Star Theatre-The Last Rodeo-courtesy of Ressler Motors.

Whether you're a lifelong local or just passin' through, Frontier Days is a celebration of Whitehall's roots, resilience, and the people who make this town one of a kind. Bring the family, invite your neighbors, and join in the fun-Whitehall's throwin' a party, and y'all are invited!
